Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops have become more capable, acing our cleaning tests and tackling different types of floors. Choose models that allow you to select between a variety of types, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the best models integrate with your smartphone. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules, and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set up schedules and modify the S1's behavior.
When best inexpensive robot vacuum tried the S1, it was quick to identify the downstairs area, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without crashing into them, and even managed to traverse thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, but it sometimes struggled to get down the stairs in one move. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or carpet.
The docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dust bin and refills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however this will vary dependent on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating well. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean your sensors and swivel wheel regularly to avoid them getting clogged up with dirt or dust. Overall the S1 is easy to maintain, especially when compared to other combos that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum from Ecovacs is a powerful option to meet your cleaning requirements. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a number unique features, including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and avoids obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it instead of simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as needed.
This robot has an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum that can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically emptied or filled. It also has a number of settings that can be used to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with a strong suction that easily removes all kinds of debris, including the tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are robust, however it can sometimes get caught up on the small carpets or area mats that I have in my house (which is something you can mitigate by defining a virtual boundary within the app). Mopping capabilities are excellent with a pair of spinning mops which are able to lift and scrub floors, rather than just moving the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station when needed.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year however their latest top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is simple to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our top list of robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure that an effective, customized cleaning is accomplished.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests efficiently by avoiding pet hairs as well as other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically moves out to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that extend along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart it can navigate through narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can move from one room to another without having to change direction. This is beneficial for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is not as advanced than the ones of other competitors and leaves a large space around obstacles. This can lead to missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and well-organized. It should be easy to use by both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings, alter suction power and mopping settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and much more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri which allows you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll require a reliable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris, but it can't always be able to reach every piece of dust. It is important to clean often, at least once a week. This is particularly important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mop, is made to do just that. It's easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, which includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it is cheaper because it doesn't come with mopping capabilities and comes with a plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to mop floors, the Q5 still has the best mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robotic in this price range. It has powerful 5500Pa suction and an auto-empty system which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It also has a clever application that lets you choose your floor's type and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops are also impressive, with a 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested did not show problems with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not remove kitty-poop or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising because it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that allows it to reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums can't. This device also is able to collect more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't need to empty it as often. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters which further reduces the cost of using the device. This robot can detect carpets, and boost suction when needed. The app allows you to mark areas you want to avoid and is a great feature.
